Red Mountain Trail is a moderate 2.5 mile out and back hiking trail near Manitou Springs, Colorado. It has an elevation gain of 950ft and is dog frendly. This trail has also been reported to be haunted.
Emma Crawford who was suffering from tuberculosis traveled to Manitou Springs for the healing properties of the spring water. She while there she fell in love with Red Mountain and she wished to be buried on the summit when she died in 1891. Her remains were later washed down the mountain and now there is reported paranormal activity. Today the Manitou Coffin races are celebrated in her name.
